Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) combines behavioral therapies and medications to treat substance use disorders. These medications curb the cravings and in conjunction with out-patient or in-patient treatment, allows the person to focus on lifestyle changes that lead to recovery.

project RESCUE
The Ellenville Regional Hospital’s, Project RESCUE, is a resource available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year designed to mitigate the effects of the opioid epidemic, by providing Medication Assisted Recovery (Buprenorphine) to those who present to the Emergency Department in active opiate withdrawal or post overdose. Individuals in need can expect a thorough evaluation by trained and compassionate Emergency Department providers, effective management of withdrawal symptoms and linkage to a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate who will initiate a seamless transition into treatment and/or community-based resources. We offer medically supervised detoxification and inpatient treatment services by compassionate professionals who understand the disease of addiction, as well as the challenges of withdrawing from addictive substances.
