Hope & Healing

MHA in Ulster County offers a free grief and loss support group for those who have lost someone. This group offers a safe, confidential, and supportive environment to learn healthy coping skills, allowing those processing their grief to remain healthy during the healing process. This group meets Thursdays from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm, in person.

The Compassionate Friends

This organization provides grief support to family members who have had a child die (at any age from any cause) and for helpers who are supporting those who have gone through this experience. Children’s Bereavement Support Group

Sponsored by Hudson Valley Hospice, this group is for school-age children who have lost family members and are experiencing normal grief. This group is designed to help children address the tasks of grief in a supportive, therapeutic setting with other children who share their experiences. They do this by participating in age-appropriate activities including music, movement, games, arts and crafts, writing, and grief education through literature and storytelling.
