Zen Mountain Monastery

Zen Mountain Monastery is a Zen Buddhist Monastery and training center in Mount Tremper, NY. In accordance with Daido Roshi’s “Eight Gates of Zen” training includes face-to-face teaching, liturgy, moral and ethical teachings, work practice, body practice, art practice and academic study. This occurs either at home for lay students or at the monastery during weekend retreats and monthly week-long sessions (meditation intensives). The monastery’s schedule includes a Sunday morning program open to the general public and a variety of weekend and week-long Zen training programs, on painting, poetry, shakuhachi performance, Zen archery and many other activities.

At this time, Zen Mountain Monastery is closed until it is safe for us to convene in person once again. In the meantime, like so many others around the world, we’ll be using the Internet to stay connected. Please refer to this web page for updated information on webcasts, online retreats, and other ways to connect. Our daily zazen and Sunday programs are accessible through Livestream. You can also keep up with us through our blog at MountainRecord.org and our podcast as well as social media. Karma Tryana Dharmachakra

Karma Tryana Dharmachakra is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Woodstock, NY. KTD Monastery offers Dharma teachings and practice retreats in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.

The Monastery will be completely closed to visitors for the foreseeable future due to the ongoing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak and the need to keep everyone healthy and safe.
