Caregiver Support Groups

Licensed Social Workers from Jewish Family Services (JFS) lead these groups and offer understanding, a safe place to vent, and helpful advice about services that can help you to provide the best care for your loved one. The groups are free and open to the public due to funding by the Ulster County Office for the Aging and JFS. For information and registration, call (845) 338-2980.

Due to COVID-19, each group will be conducted by telephone or Zoom. The Group Leader will provide you with the number or link once you have signed up for a meeting.

Telephone Conference
1st Thursday each month at 3 PM

Zoom Conference
1st and 3rd Monday each month, 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
2nd and 4th Monday each month, 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Caregiver groups from the Alzheimer’s Association

We offer support groups for caregivers, individuals living with Alzheimer's and others dealing with the disease. All support groups are facilitated by trained individuals.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all support groups will be hosted via phone or video conference instead of in-person. Meeting schedules will be assessed on a month-to-month basis. You will receive the access information in your email confirmation following your pre-registration. Please be sure to register using a valid email address. ofa & MHA

Ulster County Office for the Aging (OFA) and Mental Health Association in Ulster County, Inc. (MHA) are offering a support group designed for caregivers seeking support and interaction with other caregivers. The group will also allow caregivers to learn skills, share information, and learn about available resources.

Meets Wednesdays 3 pm - 4:15 pm on Zoom and in person.
